Personal Laptop:
Click here for instructions to share with your students to install Lockdown Browser on their personal device
this website
Students may open and click the button to make sure the Lockdown browser is correctly installed on their device.
iPads:
Students will need to have the Lockdown Browser installed on their device. While students can use either personal devices or their school iPad we highly recommend that they use their iPad as the process is much easier.
Students should install the Lockdown browser from self-service. Once installed they don't need to do anything. When they open the link to an assessment in AP Classroom that requires the Lockdown browser it will automatically open. Some students may still try to open the app. Here's what they will see
When you click Assign you will be prompted to Acknowledge that this assessment is not exactly the same as Bluebook. Click to see the acknowledgement screen
In the Advanced Settings when assigning a Quiz you will find an option to Enable the Lockdown Browser.
When creating a Quiz in AP Classroom, you can require that the assessment only be taken using the Lockdown Browser.
- Students will not be able to exit the assessment until they submit.
- Screenshots are disabled during the assessment
- Siri is disabled during the assessment
- Using Lockdown browser makes the secure questions available to assign.
