• STUDENT 3 is in charge of Tool Box hand-out.
• STUDENT 4 is in charge of the "ENGLISH ONLY" time.
• You do and read all the activities TOGETHER !!!

In groups of 4, use this guided-tour booklet to discover the vibrant city of New York in different activities

ENGLISH ONLY TIME

One student will receive a badge to indicate that this student will be the only one allowed to speak French in the group of necessary (ex: to explain the others in case they don't understand). ALL THE other STUDENTS MUST SPEAK ENGLISH ONLY. The student with the badge must make sure that all the others speak English. If someone in the group does not respect the rule, the whole group gets sanctioned.

WALKING TOUR 1

You are at the Showman's Jazz Club. On your way out, you turn on the right on East 125th Street. You pass in front of the Apollo Theater and the Studio museum. Going southward, you turn in Malcom X Boulevard until you are at the crossroad with the 116th Street. You head towards El Bario neighbourhood. Finally, you walk down Park Avenue until you reach a landmark. What is your destination ?

You are standing on the front stairs of the MET. You walk along Central Park up the 5th Avenue. You walk across Marcus Garvey's park up to the 125th Street. On your left, you carry on until you catch sight of the Studio Museum. Then you turn right, northward onto Adam Clayton Powell JR Boulevard. You stop at the landmark that is at the crossroad with the 135th Street.What is your destination ?

You walk across the bridge from Bronx to Manhattan and end up at the bottom of F.D Roosevelt Drive and the 145th Street. You enter Harlem on the 145th Street. Then, turn southward on Frederick Douglass, all the way down the 116th Street. You cross the upper West Side of Manhattan, pass in front of Columbia University. In River Side park, you walk up along the Hudson river untill you reach a landmark. What is your destination ?
