I hold an agrégation in Classical Literature (French, Latin, Ancient Greek) and have been teaching for over 20 years in both high schools and middle schools, specializing in French, Latin, Greek, and Theatre. I am also a course and assignment writer for the CNED and certified in Theatre. Currently, I teach French, Latin, and Theatre at Awty and Theatre for adults at the Alliance Française of Houston. Additionally, I am a photographer and visual artist.

Qu'est-ce qu'un parcours associé ?

Un parcours associé à l’œuvre est un groupement de textes organisé de façon chronologique qui s’inscrit dans l’objet d’étude et son empan chronologique. Il peut s'agir de lectures complémentaires ou de prolongements artistiques qui permettent d’enrichir et de préciser l’interprétation des œuvres ou des textes composant les parcours.

A study path associated with a work is a collection of texts organized chronologically, fitting within the field of study and its historical period. It may include supplementary readings or artistic extensions that enrich and refine the interpretation of the works or texts within the path.

Que faire…?

Il faut lire régulièrement !

• Huit œuvres intégrales au total sont à lire.
• Nous préparerons 16 textes d'une vingtaine de lignes, pour l'oral : 4 par objet d'étude.

Quelques conseils…

• Dès le début de l'année, il faut se faire des fiches sur chaque œuvre, chaque texte et chaque point de grammaire.
• Il faut prévoir de relire les œuvres quelques semaines avant les épreuves.
• Les 16 textes pour l'oral doivent être connus parfaitement (pas par cœur mais presque !).

You need to read regularly. A total of eight complete works must be read. We will prepare 16 texts, about twenty lines each, for the oral exam: 4 per field of study.

From the beginning of the year, you should make notes on each work, each text, and each grammar point. You should plan to reread the works a few weeks before the exams. The 16 texts for the oral exam must be known perfectly (not by heart, but almost!).
