The conquest
In 55 BC Julius Cesar invaded Britain but only in 43-47 AD the Emperor Claudius conquest the country.
The town
The roman town had a centre of commercial activity, they buldt:
- public baths (open to everyone);
- The first London bridge on Thams connecting with Londinium new centre point of roads;
- The Hadrian's Wall to defend the town with fortification barrier from east coast to west coast;
- around 9.600 km of roads.
The Wars
In the 409 AD Emperor Honorius withdrew his soldiers and the Romanised Celts to fight against the Anglo-Saxon peoples who invaded and destroyed the Roman British town in the 5 century.
