COURSE SCHEDULE The course lasts 60 hours and is divided in 2 terms 1st TERM (Sept-Mid-Jan.): Units 1-4. 2st TERM (Jan.-May): Units 5-9.

  • The Pruebas de Certificación comprise five papers: Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, Writing (e-mail or letter and an essay), Mediation (written and oral) and Speaking. Each paper has equal weighting.
Grade: 5 pass, average 6.5

DESCRIPTION

Aimed at students with an advanced level of English (B2 level passed). The course is for students who wish to improve and develop their oral competence in English (listening, speaking and mediation). The course will start on 30th September 2024 and finish on 19th May 2025.

To develop strategies to understand different accents, registers and cultural references. b. The importance of oral expression and its elements: tone, rhythm, pauses. c. Strategies to understand authentic material. Connected speech d. To improve oral expression in different situations (presentations, dialogues, debates, interviews, mediation, narration and drama). e. Self-evaluation and peer-assessment: Strategies. Pronunciation and intonation, organization and coherence, range of lexis and grammar.
