Italy is situated in the south of Europe The country is often described as a boot-shaped peninsula, extending into the Mediterranean Sea and bordered by France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia to the north.It has a Mediterranean climate thanks to his position in the continent. He has every type of landscapes ( mountains, hills, sea, plains)The biggest river is fiume Po.

Politically is divided in 20 regions with his own regional capital. Population Composition Italy has a population of approximately 60 million people, making it one of the most populous countries in Europe and most of them major cities such as Rome, Milan, Naples, and Florence.
