- Born 9th August 1962 in London.
- His family moved back to Nigeria when he was 3 years old. He then returned to the UK to go to college when he was 17.
- His work explores identity, making connections between his and other cultures around the world.
- Shonibare’s work is known for incorporating Ankara fabric, which is a type of African printed cloth with bright colours and bold patterns.
- Shonibare is paralysed on one side of his body after contracting a virus as a child, so he produces his work with the aid of studio assistants.

- Born 1st of May 1943 in Ohio, USA alongside a twin sister, Joyce.
- She was encouraged to try art. Judith discovered that she loved wrapping pieces of wood in fabric and yarn. She made hundreds of pieces.
- The subject of her work and inspiration is unknown. All her pieces were untitled.
- Some people think that she used her work to communicate her thoughts and feelings, and reflect on her life and memories, but this is not known as Judith couldn’t speak.
- Judith was born with Downs Syndrome and lost her hearing after contracting Scarlet Fever.
- She died on the 15th of March 2005.

- Nicola is British artist born in 1984.
- She is most well known for her metal text sculptures that tell life stories, and how these stories can connect people.
- She has been commissioned to create art all over the world, including sculptures to give the people of Ukraine a voice to express their experiences.
