Learning Goals & Standards
1) Lesson Learning Goals
2) Content Standard
3) ISTE Standards
Learning Goals
Students will use technology to be able to create an accurately drawn trend line that best fits the given scatterplot data.
Students will be able to determine which of several given trend lines most accurately fits the given data.
Content Standard
Students will use a trend line that approximates the linear relationship between bivariate sets of data to make predictions. TEKS 8.5D
ISTE Standards
Innovative Designer 1.4c Prototypes Students develop, test and refine prototypes as part of a cyclical design process.
Knowledge Constructor 1.3c Curate Information Students curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions.
Innovative Designer 1.4a Design Process Students know and use a deliberate design process for generating ideas, testing theories, creating innovative artifacts or solving authentic problems.

TRIPLE E FRAMEWORK
student feedback
"I bet I can get the highest score in the class!"
"I like when we use our Chromebooks to do math."
"It's easier to make mistakes on the computer."
"If I had to pick one to use, I'd pick Desmos."
changes
- Prep students better for what the lesson will look like and how I will need to get their attention at certain times
- Change the notes/cheat sheet to better match Desmos steps
- Slow down the pacing - don't try to fit the Desmos in 45 mins because they enjoyed it.
- Start of Day 2: Show basketball graph again and ask students to "Explain how to draw an accurate trend line" and then have them try it!
- No GeoGebra - students couldn't log in, took extra time to post link
- Try some examples on paper?
