Sally Rooney is an Irish author, poet, and essayist.She has gained recognition from both the public and critics as one of the finest writers of her generation, particularly following the release of her second novel.Born in 1991 in Castlebar, she spent her childhood in her hometown, where she continues to live and work today after studying in Dublin. She graduated from Trinity College with a degree in English literature and was recognized as one of the top scholars at the same university. She began a master's program in politics, which she did not complete, but later earned a master's degree in American literature, graduating in 2013.
