HOW CAN WE CREATE GOALS?
We can use a method for goal creation called SMART goals. This acronym stands for:S specific M measurable A attainable R relevant T time-bound Let's look at these more in-depth. The "S" is for specific. This means knowing what you want. Think about what goals you want to accomplish and why they are important to you. The "M" is for the measurability of a goal. You need to have a way to determine when you have attained your goal. Think about how much/many and how you will know when you have accomplished your goal. The "A" is for attainability. It is there to remind you to keep your goals reasonable to accomplish. Think about how you can complete your goal and what resources you can use. The "R" is for relevancy. This is where you will think about the bigger picture and ask yourself why you are setting this goal and if it seems worthwhile. The "T" is for time-bound. Think about how long it will take you to accomplish your goal and when you would like to have it completed by. Doknic, A. (n.d.).
