Top 5 monuments

Mosque-Cathedral

It was created in the year 786 and combines elements of Islamic and Christian architecture.

Roman bridge and the Calahorra tower

It passes over the river Guadalquivir and the tower was an entrance to the city.

Alcazar of the Christian Kings

It has been a royal residence and has vast and beautiful gardens.

Medina Azahara

Built in the 10th century by Caliph Abd al-Rahman III to show the splendor of his caliphate.

Palace of Viana

It has 12 patios and a garden and inside hides a legend.

In Cordoba have inhabited many cultures, such as the Romans, the Visigoths, the Arabs or the Jews and Christians, so there is a lot of monuments to visit.

| Other things to do

Not only can you visit monuments in Cordoba, but you can do other varied activities near Cordoba such as hiking or kayaking.

Go to Seville

It is just over an hour and a half away and is well worth visiting.

Do canoeing

You can go canoeing in the Guadalquivir river up to the roman bridge.

Hiking

You can also do a hiking route in Sierra Morena, behind Cordoba.

Gastronomity

Cordoba has a variety of typical dishes and excellent easy to cook. Here are the three best for my taste.

Snack

To snack we can take a little Iberian ham from the Pedroches and cheese of Cabra

First dish

As a first course a good salmorejo accompanied by bread

Second dish

For the second course, a "flamenquín" with fries and salsa (mayonnaise, fried tomato...)

Dessert

To finish with something sweet, a piece of cordobesian cake

There are many typical dishes besides those, such as: the potato omelette, fried aubergines with honey, taurus tail, snails...

My study centre

IES Grupo Cántico

It is a small and quiet school with a family atmosphere. Located in the neighborhood of Santa Rosa. All the teachers are very nice and do many fun activities. And in the breaks to entertain us they let us use balls to play.

|IES Grupo Cántico

The name is given by a group of artists, mainly poets, who emerged in Cordoba in 1947. They became known as Grupo Cantico. This group published a magazine called Cantico, with all their works. Their work significantly influenced the Spanish literature.

My home

My house is located next to the park of La Asomadilla, in Santa Rosa. It is a spacious and luminous house. It has a fairly large terrace overlooking the garden and pool; we love playing table game in it. In my room the bed is double, so there is no problem to accommodate another person.

And this is all about Cordoba
