The european day of languages
It was created to promote the linguistic differences between different cultures, and to encourage the learning of all of them.It was estabilished in 2001, in the european year of languages and it's celebrated every 26th September.
Why was it created?
In this day there are a lot of activities to promote this event, like conferences, concerts and fairs. The goal of the EU is to have children learn at least two languages because the multilinguism is very important in the Europe.
What happens in this day?
The Hungarian
The Hungarian is the most spoken not Indo-European language in Europe, indeed it's a Finno-Ugric language. Before it was a runic alphabet, but then it was adapted the latin alphabet. The particularity of this laguage is that there are a lot of suffix to add after the name to change the meaning, and the words have no gender.
The particularities
The verbs are coniugated like in the romance languages (three singular persons, three plural persons). The sentences follow the order SVO (subject, verb, object) or SOV (subject, object, verb), and the subject can be omitted.
