Internship start and end:

the name of the company is “POWER TEC” located in San Vendemiano it is made up of 2 person;

  • The owner
  • The employer (Mirko)
they focus on home automation and industrial automation machines using hydraulics.

Company

This is a machine created by them :

Mainly they work for small or private clients they create automated machines and they focus on quality and function rather than efficiency. So the production times may be slightly longer, but the machines are delivered fully functional and tailored to the customer's requests.

Who they work for?

i worked principally with this layer of steel

  • At the beginning, my employer explained the basic operation of some tools and essential concepts that were never taught in school. After that, I improved and became familiar with the various tools.
  • I primarily worked on the exterior and casing of the new machine, observing what Mirko was doing and continuing the tasks I had started. Within two weeks, I completely finished the casing of the new machine, ready to be sent to the client.

What i did?

I encountered problems using tools like the angle grinder (flex) and the drill. Initially, I struggled with handling them correctly and safely, as I was unfamiliar with their operation. Over time, with practice and guidance from my colleagues, I became more confident and improved my skills in using these tools effectively.

The problems i encountered?

During the internship, I gained valuable skills, particularly in using tools like drills and angle grinders, although it took time and effort to master them. I also learned how to think critically and solve problems creatively, especially when trying to understand and apply what my tutor was teaching me. This experience helped me become more independent and adaptable in completing tasks. According to him, a technician needs to be adaptable because they often face unexpected challenges and must find creative solutions on their own.

What did i learn?

  • Not connected to my studies
The job I did during the Internship was interesting, but it didn’t match what I’m studying right now.
  • Unsure about my future:
This experience made me feel **uncertain** about what I want to do in the future. I still need more time to decide.
  • Conclusion:
The PCTO was useful, but I realized I’m still not sure about the right career for me.

How i felt about this experience?

  • I expected it to be more engaging:
Going into the internship, I thought it would be more **exciting and engaging**, and that I’d be more involved in the work.
  • I thought my studies would help:
I also believed that what I had studied would be useful during the internship, but it turned out not to be true. The tasks were different from what I expected.
  • Conclusion:
The experience helped me realize that the job was less connected to my studies and not as engaging as I had hoped.
