Q&A / Resources
WHy care about interactivity?
90%
of the information we assimilate is received through sight. Tell stories with graphs!
+info
What types of images can you make interactive?
Social Studies: different parts of maps, timelines, graphs and charts, historical paintings, political cartoons, historical leaders, documents, etc.
ELA/SLA: Any word/phrase can be interactive. Highlight difficult words (to give a definition/pic), give audio clues to help, and link videos/pics for context. Or provide audio to the text they are reading!
Science: Parts of a cell, the periodic table, the planets of the solar system, ecosystems, earth's core/atmosphere, the water cycle, the human body/skeleton, plant life cycle, etc.
Foreign Language: Label parts of a location (house, school, etc.) in English and/or Spanish. Add audio so students understand pronunciation
Why should you care as a coach?
Teachers using Genially effectively can: 1) Differentiate instruction 2) Boost engagement & retention 3) Create learning environments that are accessible, inclusive, equitable, and challenging for every learner (Universal Design for Learning)
Let''s see some examples
