About the presentation

What's is Modeling

3D Modeling or three dimensional is the process of a mathematical representation of any three- dimensional surface of an object through specific software. Is basically the criation of shapes, objects, charaters, scenes, etc... with advanced computational tools are used and aimed at this type of tasks. Fonte: Wikipédia

Modeling a key chain

Slicing What does it consist of?

Slicing is understood as the conversion of the 3D model to the machine's operating commands (in this case the 3D Printer) The Slicer (software used for Slicing) cuts the model to be printed into horizontal layers and estimates how much material the printer will use and how long the printing will take. It is at this stage that all parts of the piece are also created. A GCode file is generated and sent to the printer.

Summarizing: the phases of 3D Printing

Modeling

A person develops the object model with in 3D modeling software on the computer.

Slicing

The model is sent to the printer software which divides it into hundreds of layers.

Printing

Medicine | architecture | design

We can use 3D Printing in our Daily Life....

Eight times faster and three times cheaper, building houses using 3D printers has now arrived in Portugal...

Domestic use and decoration

In medicine, using this technology it is possible to print orthopedic prostheses

Lets start 3D printing in our classroom...

What is 3D printing?

3D Printing, also known as rapid prototyping, is a form of additive manufacturing technology where a three-dimensional model is created by successive layers of material.
