Locate and select the Lead

Reference the Created Date or Lead Stage to determine the correct lead the rep is looking into

Reference the lead stage based on what the rep is telling us

Reference created dated. Work with the sales rep to determine what is the correct lead.

You can only convert leads that are in Open statusIf the Lead is DQ'd look for an existing Opportunity with the same customer name/home and follow the ROE process

Edit Home Type (if needed)

  • Update Home Type accordingly. The customer's title information may be used to confirm this is correct

Edit Installation Type (if needed)

  • This field specifies if the customer plans to have the system installed on their roof, on a detached structure, or as a ground mount.

Step 6

Change Lead Stage (if needed) Select "Edit" at top of Lead

Select Edit and update the following fields:

  • Lead Stage to Created
  • Lead Status to Open
This allows the Lead to proceed after edits are made.

Click Save!

After saving your edits, you will be redirected to the lead page. To convert, select Convert at the top of the page

Change the name of the Opportunity before converting

The Opportunity name will default to the Customer's name. Change this to reflect:

  • The Street Address and Zip Code
  • Example: 123 Main ST-12345
Utilize the address from the Lead page; copy and paste it into this field.

After re-naming, select Convert

  • Once a Lead is converted, it will no longer be a Lead; it is now an Opportunity!

You Are Now an Expert at Troubleshooting Lead Conversion.

Your lead is now an Opportunity in Stage 1. The sales rep should now be able to locate this Opportunity in their sales tools or Salesforce.
