Conditioning Treatments

  • After Consultation :
  • Choose correct shampoo

Shampoo Massage Movements

Effleurage
  • Slow, smoothing, stroking massage
movements done with the palms of the hands during shampooing.
  • It is used to apply shampoo to the
hair and to relax the client.
  • If a client has very long hair,
  • effleurage is used on the mid lengths and ends to avoid knotting and tangling

Rotary

  • Small, fast, firm, circular massage movements using the pads of the fingers
  • To massage shampoo into the hair and scalp and to remove dirt, products and sebum.
  • Do not use on delicate fine hair

Detangle Hair

Using: Wide tooth comb / Wet Brush
  • Start combing from the ends
  • working your way up to the roots

Applying the conditioning treatment

  • Section hair into 4 sections
  • Apply chosen conditioner with bowl and brush
  • Apply 1 inch away from the root
  • Conditioners contain heavier ingredients
  • You do not want to overload the hair follicles

Massage Movement - Petrissage

  • Large, circular, slow, deep kneading massage movements It is used to stimulate the nerve pathways and improve muscle tension
  • It eliminates knots, breaks down adipose tissue and improves muscle tone
  • (Adipose tissue – connective tissue in which fat is stored)

Steamer

  • A steamer or heat accelerator can be used after carrying out a scalp massage to stimulate the muscles
  • Improve circulation and stimulate the sebaceous gland
  • Steaming your hair helps you add moisture to your hair.

Rinse Hair

  • With warm water untill all treatment/conditioner is out of the hair
