Design Description

The key attractions are highlighted in bullet points with small, playful icons next to each item (e.g., a paintbrush for workshops, a mask for performances). This section is placed towards the bottom of the poster, ensuring that the main visual and event details are prioritised.

  • Below the main visual, the date and time are prominently displayed in a clean, sans-serif font in white, contrasting against a dark background for readability.
  • The location is listed just below the date and time, in a slightly smaller font but still clear and legible.

Event Details

Key Attractions

  • Balance: The poster maintains visual balance by centring the main visual and evenly distributing text and graphical elements around it.
  • Contrast: High contrast between text and background colours enhances readability. For instance, the bright title stands out against a darker gradient background.
  • Alignment: All text elements are left-aligned to create a clean and organised appearance, making the information easy to follow.
  • Repetition: The use of geometric shapes and colours is repeated throughout the poster to create a cohesive look and reinforce the theme of creativity.

Design Principles:

One challenge was balancing the vibrant colours of the central visual with the readability of the text. To address this, I used high-contrast colours for the text and ensured that it was placed on a solid, less complex part of the background to enhance clarity.By following this approach, you demonstrate creativity in both visual design and information presentation, aligning with the event’s theme and making the poster both engaging and informative.

Effective Design Elements:The use of vibrant colours and abstract shapes effectively captures the festival's theme of creativity and innovation. The large title and central visual draw immediate attention, making it easy for viewers to quickly understand the event’s focus and details.
