PERSONAL PRONOUNS

PERSONAL PRONOUNS

They refer to people, things and concepts and can be used in place of a noun to avoid repetition. There are three types of personal pronouns in Spanish: subject pronouns, object pronouns (direct and indirect) and prepositional pronouns. We use subject pronouns as the subject of a verb: I like your dress. We use object pronouns as the object of a verb: Can you help me, please?

POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

Possessive pronouns are pronouns that are used to indicate the ownership (possession) of something or someone by something or someone else.

DEMONSTRATIVE PRONOUNS
  • They are used to highlight something that was previously mentioned or that is clear from the context.
Demonstrative pronouns “demonstrate” something; using them is the verbal equivalent of pointing at something or someone. They draw attention to the thing or person you’re referring to. Demonstrative pronouns indicate number (singular or plural) and the relative distance of the thing being referred to.
