Pending invitation section in admin panel

Work OS Platform

Feature description Account admins can now track and resend pending member invitations from the admin center. Previously, the inviter struggled to keep track of these invitations due to the lack of a dedicated management space, but now this functionality in the Admin center simplifies the process, making it more efficient to manage the user base.

Revamped Favorites

Work OS Platform

Feature description We enhanced the visibility and usability of the 'favorites' section by moving its entry point out of the workspaces dropdown menu. It now lives above the menu in its own dedicated expandable section. This new positioning emphasizes the 'favorites' cross-product functionality and makes it easier for users to access their most frequently used or important items.

Deprecate "share updates via email" feature

Work OS Platform

Feature description We are permanently deprecating the "share update" feature, which enabled sharing monday updates externally via email from "notifications@monday.com." This feature was disabled in May 2024 due to misuse and low usage. We have decided to discontinue it permanently. You can use alternative methods, such as the API or user mentions, to achieve similar functionality.

Deprecate "daily digest/daily highlight" feature

Work OS Platform

Feature description The daily digest email feature summarizes account highlights, introduces new team members, and lists today's deadlines. The primary concern with this feature is its impact on performance, and we have decided not to invest further design and product resources in it. .It has been disabled in the US for several months with minimal user feedback, and we now plan to disable it in Europe and Australia as well.

Gradual Release

Trial Members for existing accounts

Work OS Platform

Feature description Admins in existing accounts now have the option to invite users to the platform as full members for 14 days prior to deciding whether to purchase a seat for them. After the trial period they will automatically be converted to viewers. Before: Only new accounts could try out the platform, while existing accounts could only invite new users as either viewers or paid members.

Beta

"Parent Template" is now "Managed Template"

Work OS Platform

Feature description As part of our Enterprise Standardization Offering (along with Global Column, currently in testing), we have changed the name of "Parent Template" to "Managed Template" - which conveys the meaning of a central workflow builder that manages the work process for other users in the organization. Other than the change of the name, nothing else changes. It is still the same great capability.

monday.com's Enterprise Standardization Offering

As we enhance our platform for enterprises, we are equipping customers with tools to standardize their workflows, enabling more centralized management, meaningful cross-organization reporting, and ensuring process integrity. monday.com’s unique approach to standardization enabling uniformity while maintaining flexibility and minimal compromise on team autonomy.

Use cases
  • A Project manager wants to convert an excel sheet into a monday board with a Gantt view could do so easily with this feature.
  • A workflow owner wants to populate an existing dropdown column with a list of labels for team members to choose from.
Use cases
  • Subscribe users to a board- For example, when managing university applicants, registry administrators can use the "Triggered by" option to assign new students who have been accepted to a class board. This is based on what was initially defined in the previous "when statute changing to something" block. Essentially, when a statute changes from "in process" to "accepted" for someone, it will notify the person and subscribe them to the new class board. This is based on the "Triggered by" option defined in the people block, which relies on what was defined in the first statute change block.
Selling points
  • A two-month display makes it easy to manage projects spanning multiple months.
  • Minimal actions streamline the selection process, saving time and effort.
  • A compact, user-friendly design ensures easy navigation and quick selections.
Target audiences
  • All monday users who approved the AI terms & conditions
Use cases
  • Highlight employees working in the same cross-company taskforce
  • Filter out senior team members to focus on new hires
  • Focus on gender representation in management positions
Target audiences
  • monday dev users
  • R&D leads
  • Scrum Masters
Target audiences
  • All monday users who approved the AI terms & conditions
Use cases
  • Send mail with content from subitem- For example, when managing a recruitment board with a number of candidates listed as subitems, it is possible to set it up so that when the status of a subitem changes to "call for interview," the candidate will receive an email indicating they have passed to the next stage of the process.
  • Change statute when all subitems statuses are done - For example, when managing a building project, the project manager can specify that the item status can only change after all tasks listed in the subitems of the foundational aspects are completed. This will then trigger the next phase of the project and the workflow.
Use cases
  • Having an Engineering Performance Dashboard provides real-time Git status updates, helping teams quickly identify and address bottlenecks to keep the sprint on track.
Target audiences
  • All monday & Excel users
  • Workflow builders
  • Project managers
Tech-info

Limitations

  • New items that are created must be connected to an existing board. The item will conform to the board's structure and columns.
  • Items can only be added to boards with a People Column.
  • After adding a new item, the new items might take a few minutes to be presented. Users must refresh the page in order to see the changes reflected.

Use cases

Examples of using the text-to-value feature:

  • Extract the first name of a sales lead
  • Extract email from file into email column
  • Extract year from text into number column
  • Extract URL from resume into link column
  • Extract VIN (vehicle identification number) from text into a text column
  • Extract the due date of a task
  • Extract details from invoices
  • And so much more!

Use cases
  • A user wants to automatically assign a task to the person responsible. The AI doesn't know who is responsible for what. Using the instructions, the user can write: "We are a team of 4, a developer - Tom, a product manager - Lisa, a designer - Bob, and a data analyst - Yulia. Match each task to the correct person!"
Use cases

Allowing departments not currently using monday.com to experience its full capabilities before deciding to onboard themselves.

Target audiences

Tech-info

The feature is designed to sync seamlessly with your board's Dropdown column settings. This integration ensures that any restrictions you apply in your forms are automatically reflected in the board's dropdown columns and vice versa, maintaining consistency and accuracy across your data management workflows. The settings in the form builder and on the board are synchronized, so changes made in one will apply to the other.FAQ1. What if I have settings already applied on the dropdown column?

  • It will reflect in the form builder settings, if you change the setting from the form builder, it will also reflect in the dropdown column settings
2. Can I select 1 as an option in the form builder multi-select question setting?
  • No, we want to encourage people to use the single-select question type for this use case. However, if the dropdown column setting is 1, it will also be reflected in the multi-select question setting.

Selling points
  • For users working in Kanban, it's customary to have a Work in Progress (WIP) limit.
Selling points
  • This feature streamlines project status updates with automations, saving manual work
  • This feature is highly requested and will solve pains for users who want to share their project progress with relevant stakeholders
Tech-info

Limitations

Currently the hidden workspaces definition scope is the entire account, so there's no way to set only specific closed workspaces to be hidden while keeping other closed workspaces as visible.

FAQ

Q: If I'm subscribed to a board in a closed hidden workspace that I'm not a member of, can I still find it?A: Yes, collaborators can find closed workspaces even if their visibility status is hidden. Q: Can account admins see hidden workspaces they are not a member of? A: Yes. While account admins won't see hidden workspaces in the workspace drop-down or 'Browse all workspaces' screen, they can view them through the Administration panel > Content directory. Q: If a user directly navigates to the URL of a hidden workspace they are neither a member nor a collaborator of, will they be able to view it? A: No. Like a private board, users attempting to directly access a hidden workspace where they have no membership or collaboration will be redirected to a 'no access' screen. Q: Does 'Hidden workspaces' represent a new category of workspace? A: No. 'Hidden workspaces' are not a new category; they are closed workspaces configured to be hidden at the account level.
