Zero conditional(present simple + present simple)

Second conditional(past simple + would/wouldn't)

It is used for (1) situations that cannot change (they took place in the past) and (2) you can a.lso use modal verbs.

If you had given me your email, I could have written. She might have bought you a present, if she had known it was your birthday.

Time clauses(present simple + present simple/will)

We use time expressions like when, as soon as, the moment, until, by the time, etc. For (1) imperatives we use the zero conditional structure and for (2) future situations we use the first conditional structure.
