Welcome to Animalia! In the first block of "Bird is the word", we will review and expand on the classification of animals according to different criteria through interactive presentations and infographics. From unplugged games to interactive activities, videos and thinking routines, we will have fun while learning more about the animal kingdom before entering the fascinating world of birds.

Hey bird watchers! As we let ourselves into the birds' world, we will play fun games and reflect in teams about this group of animals. We will find out more about their physical traits, habitat, behavior, diet and reproduction in a presentation. Next, we will look at an infographic about the main ecosystems in our planet, their characteristics and the birds that live in them, together with other animal and plant species. Last, you will work in teams to design a bird fact file combining everything you learnt in this block.

Lastly, we will learn about human impact on species and our planet. It's your turn bird watchers! We will reflect on the importance of taking care of the environment. How? We will research about endangered and extinct birds and let our classmates know more about them on a slideshow presentation that you will create, and we will put in common tips and solutions to protect our ecosystems in a video news report filmed by yourselves.
