A process syllabus is made up of four levels:

Matters of alternative tasks
Matters of activities
Matters of procedure
Matters of participation

A bank of activities covering moment to moment of the working process inside the classroom.

Decisions have to be made concerning: Who does what with whom, with what resources, when, how, and why?

A bank of activities are categorized to identify each activity's relevant characteristics or its potential use within the classroom.

It has to be decided whether the teacher works with the whole class, sub-groups, or individual learners. Similarly, whether learners work alone, in pairs, in groups or as members of the whole group.
