MATHS IDEAS:
- Prepare an estimate / budget for a project.
- Look at salaries / tax / national insurance / pensions when looking at job opportunities and industry related work.
- Convert numbers: averages, percentages or fractions for comparison (for example when working out their scores on tests over time or working out the discount/difference on industry products from different suppliers).
- Looking for statistics in research to justify ideas then analyse and compare.
- Changing information into graphs / diagrams / pie charts.
- Creating timetables / schedules of work with estimated dates / hours to complete for each task.
- Explaining the data presented in a graph / chart / diagram in verbal or written format.
- Using scale to create diagrams / maps / plans / models.
- Using formula to work out area / volume or value in an industry context.
- Problem solving scenarios.
