Integral design - Susana Sepulveda

HEllo!

My name is Susana Sepúlveda Alonso, I am 22 years old and I am a student studying Design at ITESO University. My interests are graphic design and interior design. In this portfolio, you will have the opportunity to explore three of the projects that I have developed throughout my current academic training. Each of these works reflects different concepts and objectives that I have addressed at various stages of my studies. Through them, you will be able to appreciate how I have applied the knowledge acquired and how I have faced the particular challenges that arose in each project. My intention is to show not only the final result, but also the creative and technical process that has allowed me to evolve as a professional and delve deeper into different areas of my discipline.

Monogram

and applications

Monogram

Objective: Understand the concept of counterform, starting from the design of a monogram (in which it will be necessary to look for interesting unions or relationships between two or more characters to generate a new sign). Patterns will be designed and applied to an object through a mockup. In creating this monogram, I merged my first name initial with my last name initials, achieving a unique and cohesive design. The two 'S' facing each other represent my name and my first surname (Susana Sepúlveda), while at the top, the stylized shape of an 'A', corresponds to my second surname (Alonso), completes the composition resulting in a figure that evokes the appearance of a fleur-de-lis, a symbol of elegance and balance, which encapsulates both my personal identity and the harmony that I sought to convey through design.

Product Design

Sketches:

Objective: Create an object based on two materialsFor this project I decided to create a "shelf" that hangs on the wall, with two materials, which were:

  • Pinewood
  • 1" X 1" Tubular (14 Gauge)
In which the wooden part could be used to place books, plants or some decoration, while in the lower part, which is made of metal, you could hang clothes hooks, a towel, etc.

3D modeling

For the creation of this Render, a proposal was selected based on a remodeling sketch or image, which served as the basis for the visual development. From that initial proposal, a careful selection of images and decorative elements was made that were part of the photomontage of the Render. Among the selected elements include rugs, plants, tapestries, staves, furniture, lamps, ceilings, bookcases, pots and other details that provide realism and coherence to the final design to complement the remodeling proposal, ensuring that the Render conveyed the desired atmosphere. in addition to faithfully representing the materials, textures and colors designed for the space. This process allowed us to generate a detailed and attractive visualization of the final result, helping to accurately communicate the objective of the project.
