What is Augmented Reality ?
AR (Augmented reality) : It overlays digital content on the real world through a display. Which means by looking using a mobile phone or special glasses stuffs you are not real can be seen in the game, we pass from characters to animations on objects and at the same time more information about your surroundings. You need specialy VR glasses
Elements that compose Augmented Reality
Some of the elements that we need are very important for augmented reality. Here are those elements:Devices: To show the objects, a phone, tablet, computer, or glasses that show the objects.Cameras: They make you see the objects and your surroundings and detect your movements.Software: These are applications or programs that make you feel the AR experience.3D objects: The things that surround you in AR—objects, people, cars, etc.Position: This is so that the game knows where you are and where you are in the game.
Use for it
Augmented reality You can do different things like this.Games and social networks: Like, for example, we said in class, pokemon go and also filters on Instagram that sometimes add virtual things. Shopping:For example, the models in AR or the clothes you try on in AR.Learning: There are simulations for surgery classes that simulate people.Working: There are tools that give you instructions. For example, Mechanics tells you what to do.
'Your content is liked, but it hooks much more if it's interactive'
Comparation of VR
Augmented reality:AR shows objects over a real world like ours that we live in, whereas virtual takes you to a totally different world, and in AR you use your Mobile and see digital things over your real world, AR mixes the real and the digital.Virtual Reality:The VR takes you to a different world in which you are, that is different as in the AR; apart from that, you use special glasses, and to play any game, you use those glasses.
Risks and utilitties
There are quite a few risks of AR and some of them are very dangerous. Here are some of them:PRIVACY:There are some that are privacy related, like sometimes they use your information; for example, if it is an unverified website and if the game or whatever is paid, you can take your card and use it for other things.DISTRACTION:Although it doesn't seem like it affects a lot, it does because you don't pay attention to the real world and you get distracted. But I think this is more related to virtual reality, but it also affects AR.DEPENDENCE:Because imagine if you get really hooked on the game of ‘pentes a lot of technology’.HEALTH:Although it may not seem like it, it affects your health a lot because seeing imaginary things so much can cause fatigue. Headaches, migraines, etc.
