REDUCED INEQUALITY

The decades after WWII until the 1970s were full of economic growth making the incomes grow around the same rate. When the 1970s began the growth started slowing, so the income gap widened as a consequence , due to this the poor became poorer while the people on the top continued to have a growth, having a concentration that hasn't been seen since “The Roaring Twenties”.

cONFLICT Theory

  • On going conflict for limited resources
  • Domination, instead of conformity
  • those with wealth and power will try to hold onto it by suppressing the poor and powerless
  • Max Weber: multiple layers of conflict at every moment in every community
