There are several common causes for respiratory compromise such as
- Traumaic spinal injury
- Choking
- Stroke
- Cardiac/ Cariopulminary Arrest
- Someone being extremly mentally altered
- A breathing disorder such as Asthma or COPD
- Illness (Such as ones that effect the respatory system like Pnumonia and Covid-19)
