MYJOURNAL
My commitment to this class is to be more attentive to the activities that must be delivered, to no longer miss so much or fall behind in work, and also to investigate more about the topics covered in class.
my commitment
In this photo I was able to represent what I, like my name and my age, my flag, because I was born in Mexico, I identify a lot with the culture, and I am proud to say that I am Mexican. Also a fundamental point of my identity is my family, my mother and my friends, who have greatly influenced my way of being, each of them contributed a little to who I am today. I put a cross for my Catholic religion, which has led me to think about the things I do and why I do them, and with that I also put the clover, because I am very superstitious, I like to give thanks to God and the Universe, I am I am a big believer in both, and I like to believe that everything has a reason, even if it is something strange or has to do with things that not many believe. There are two hearts, one of them is because I like love too much and with it loving, and the other is because I do everything with my heart, and I feel that things turn out better that way. The scribbling is because sometimes I get lost and it is something, it is also something that defines me by how I acted in those situations, because I don't always know what to do. Lastly I put a sun, because I like to encourage others and it is something that greatly marks my way of being, I like everyone to be well and feel good.
identity
The opinions and prejudices we cast on others are deeply influenced by our own beliefs, insecurities, and values. Instead of revealing the "true" nature of the person being judged, these judgments reveal our own perceptions, prejudice , and limitations. So, the process of judging others not only affects our view of them, but it also defines us and shows how we interpret and react to the world around us.
“When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.” — Earl Nightingale
A tradition in my family,is that once every two weeks we get together on a Friday to eat and have a movie afternoon, at my tita's house. This tradition started because we all did it once and we started to like it and it has become a custom. This custom is important because it is very difficult for us all to be able to see each other during the week, so that day we all see each other. Eating with my whole family and watching movies makes me feel full, happy, and grateful for what I have.
Family traditions
Art allows us to explore and connect with other cultures from home by showcasing their values, traditions, and perspectives. It depends a lot in our empathy and understanding through visual, musical, and narrative expressions.
When I hear the word home I think of the feeling of being full, happy, I think of security, of a safe place, a place where you can take refuge from everything you want, a place with love and a place to be me.I don't know why I think of that, maybe because sometimes it's what I feel at home, or what I see in books and movies, and what I feel we all must feel when we are at home.
Home
My relationship with the environment is friendly, I really like to help in whatever way I can to improve the environment, from small things to something bigger.I feel like I'm part of it, because I feel most relaxed when I'm surrounded by nature and I like it when I disconnect and go to the ranch or camping.Well, that point of view comes from when I was little thanks to my mother, who made me take care of a plant like my son, or who told me that plants also felt and made me spend as much time outside as possible.
