Gairmeach for vocational education and training
Designing and delivering practical training for vocational education to support change management What we do- We turn curricula and standard operating procedures into clear online learning.
- We build standards-compliant modules that work on LMS platforms.
- We support trainers with facilitator guides and assessor packs.
- We help you launch and sustain programmes across centres and sites.
How we work- We write in plain English.
- We meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
- We provide multilingual and localised versions.
- We run a fast pilot and then scale.
Instructional design that is grounded and practical
Design rules we use
- We start with the desired outcomes and align content, activities, and assessment to these outcomes.
- We reduce mental overload by showing one idea per screen and by using words and visuals that support each other.
- We follow principles of inclusive design and adult learning, so activities link to real work and real context.
What this means for vocational education and training
- We map outcomes to your national or European frameworks, such as the European Qualifications Framework or the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations framework.
- We create scenarios based on real equipment, real processes, and real safety steps.
- We design assessment that shows what a learner can do, not only what a learner knows.
- We supply trainer packs with lesson plans, checklists, marking guides, and rubrics.
Technical development and rollout
Build
- We create modules in industry-standard authoring tools. (h5p, moodle)
- We meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, including full keyboard paths, clear focus states, captions, and transcripts.
- We design for mobile use, and we can plan for offline access where it is possible.
Platform and data
- We set up on LearnPress (and other LMS platforms e.g. Moodle) or we integrate with your existing learning platform.
- We configure enrolment rules, user groups, and certificates.
- We can send detailed learning records to your learning record store or use your platform’s reporting to track progress and question performance.
Rollout and change support
- We run a small pilot with one cohort or one site and we fix issues quickly.
- We provide a communications pack and short “train the trainer” sessions.
- We supply usage dashboards and we run reviews at 30 days and 90 days after launch.
