RULES TO FOLLOW

how we will evaluate

RULES TO FOLLOW

  • Respect.
  • The use of mobile phones in class is not permitted unless directed by the teacher.
  • Using the bathroom during class hours is not permitted. Emergencies will be assessed.
  • Delays: Permission must be requested to enter the class. It will be marked as an absence if more than 10 minutes have passed.
  • Absences: Please inform us of your absences; as you know, attendance is mandatory.

HOW WE WILL EVALUATE

  • Several tests will be held during the course.
  • For the grade calculation, the arithmetic mean of exams and activities will be used. Exams will account for 60% of the final grade in each evaluation. (PROVISIONAL). You will be inform in case of any change.
  • A minimum score of 4 is required on the exam to average the grade in each evaluation.
  • If a student is unable to attend the exam for a justified and documented reason, they may take it on the date and in the manner set by the teacher.

exams

  • All activities carried out are mandatory and graded.
  • The final grade will be calculated by averaging all activities, with each activity weighted according to the percentage the teacher deems appropriate.
  • The activities will account for 40% of the total evaluation. (PROVISIONAL). You will be inform in case of any change.
  • Activities will be submitted via Aules, unless the teachers specify otherwise.
  • Completed tasks will be graded from 0 to 10, with 0 assigned to those not completed.
  • A minimum score of 5 is required in each activity to average the grade in each evaluation.
  • In the case of having passed the exams but not having submitted any of the activities or not having achieved the required minimum grade, the exam and the rest of the activity grades will be saved. However, the evaluation will appear as failed until the relevant activity is completed successfully.
  • Attendance at supplementary and extracurricular activities is mandatory, and absences will be recorded accordingly.

HOW WE WILL EVALUATE

final grade for each evaluation

  • The final grade for each evaluation will be the weighted average of the two components (exam and activities).
  • The module will be passed if the student achieves a minimum of 5 out of 10.

LOSS OF CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT

  • If a student exceeds 15% of absences, they lose their right to continuous assessment.
  • The module consists of 128 teaching hours; therefore, losing the right to continuous assessment is due to 20 hours of unexcused absences.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • In the event that a student fails an assessment, whether due to non-submission of assignments or failure in the examination, they will be given the opportunity to take a make-up exam.
  • This will be scheduled during the extraordinary session, the exact date of which is yet to be determined.
  • The maximum grade for the make-up exam will be 5, regardless of the overall average.
