The more you do the better your Dashboard will be....

Take 5 minutes to fill in your practice Form with at least 5 different data sets. Choose different answers to get a good blend of data as we go through and set up you dashboard.

  • Click add a chart
  • Click on Scorecard - Total
  • Use the Style Tab to adjust font, font size, font color and other settings of both control boxes just added.
  • Click add a control
  • Click on Date range Control
  • Use the Style Tab to adjust font, font size, font color and other settings of both control boxes just added.
  • Click add a control - Click Dropdown list
  • Click on Chart SETUP tab
    • Ensure timestamp is in Date Range dimension
    • Enter 'Enter First Name Last Name in Control Field
    • Insure Show values and Compact numbers are checked in Record Count

  • Determine if auto-created chart/graphs are valid

  • Add a title to your Dashboard

  • Select your theme and layout

  • Click on Extenstions
  • Click on Looker Studio
  • Click on Create a Report
  • Select options
  • Click Create button
  • Click add a chart-add a Pie Chart
  • Click on Chart SETUP tab
    • Enter timestamp in Date Range dimension
    • Place 8.6A TEK in Dimension field
    • Place First Name, Last Name in Metric field
  • Go to Menu Bar
  • Click on Page
  • Click on New Page
  • Click on Manage Pages
  • Name Dashboard pages
  • Go to Page 2
  • Click add a chart - add a table
  • Ensure timestamp is in Date Range dimension
  • Place Enter first name, last name in Dimension field
  • Place Score in Metric field
  • Click on Chart Style tab - explore different settings independently
  • Let's look at FILTERS
    • Go Back to Data SETUP tab and click on Add Filter
    • Select:
      • EXCLUDE
      • 2.4 TEK
      • Equal to
      • 15

Use this setion to determine what you want your data to look like on your dashboard charts and graphs. Adjust font, color, labels....

  • You can add additional pages
  • Add a title and controls to your dashboard

Chart Setup Section

  • Select which data you want to use to create different charts and graphs.
  • Select the main dimension that you want to display on the dashboard
  • You can determine how you want data sorted
  • Use the filter tool to adjust the output to fit your specific need

Data

The data you connect to appears here. Notice the fields you can create your dashboard with are the columns from your data sheet.You can add more than one data sheet, using multiple sheets within your worksheet.You can also blend your data together pulling from different sheets collectively to use in one data set.
