Players start with a token—representing each of them—on the starting square and take turns rolling the dice. The pieces move according to the numbering on the board, in ascending direction. If at the end of a move a player falls on a square where a ladder begins, he climbs up the ladder to the square where it ends. If, on the other hand, it lands in one where a snake's tail begins, it goes down it to the square where its head ends. If a player rolls a 6 they can move twice in a single turn. If a player obtains three consecutive 6s, he must return to the initial square and will not be able to move his piece until he obtains a 6 again. The player who manages to reach the final square is the winner. There is a variation in which the player, being at six or fewer squares at the end, they must obtain exactly the number they need to reach it and if the number obtained exceeds the number of remaining squares, the player will not be able to move.
INSTRUCTIONS
If the player lands at the bottom of a ladder, he ascends to the top square where the ladder ends.
If the player lands on a square where the tail of a snake begins, he descends to a lower square where the head is located.
