The Uk has given innovations into the music from the XVI centtury to this day, having its peak on the XX century after the WWII. The Rock, Blues, Pop and Skiffle were some of the most developed genres by the people of UK, and with the globalization caused what was called "The Britain invasion".Between the 1950's and 2000's bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden and so many more gave the courage to the youth to express their feelings and keep fighting for the future that they desired.

In conclusion, I believe that the UK’s tech culture has had a profound impact on the world today. From the invention of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989, which truly democratised access to information and transformed the way we communicate, to the advances in telecommunications that have facilitated instant connectivity, I believe that the UK has been a leader in innovation. These developments have enabled people from different places to collaborate and share ideas efficiently, creating global communities and interconnected markets. Furthermore, I consider the implementation of the GDPR in 2018 to be a milestone in data protection, setting high standards that have influenced privacy policies around the world. This focus on information security is crucial in an increasingly complex digital environment. Taken together, I think these elements highlight how the UK’s tech culture has not only driven technological development, but has also promoted a safer and more accessible environment for all, benefiting individuals and organisations globally.

If we speak of human rights, the UK really evolved in this aspect. Nowadays we can see that this aspect of life is important to the new generations, for example how they feel about themselves, this is important, for those who are portrait as bad, for example the LGBT community, they are now more protected as how they were before.

In conclusion, the influence of English culture on the world is both profound and far-reaching. As we have explored, this impact manifests in various aspects of daily life, including language, literature, music, and social norms. The historical significance of key events, such as the British Empire's expansion, has facilitated the global spread of English traditions and ideas, which continue to shape contemporary society. Moreover, the contributions of notable British figures—from writers like Shakespeare to innovators in science and technology—have left an indelible mark on various fields, enriching global culture and fostering a sense of interconnectedness. The enduring popularity of English literature and media exemplifies how British cultural exports resonate with audiences worldwide, influencing everything from entertainment to education. Additionally, the adoption of English as a lingua franca in international business, diplomacy, and academia underscores its role as a crucial tool for communication and collaboration across diverse cultures. This phenomenon not only highlights the importance of understanding English but also emphasizes the need to appreciate the cultural nuances that accompany its use. In essence, the legacy of English culture is woven into the fabric of modern life, demonstrating that its impact transcends borders and continues to evolve. As we move forward, recognizing and valuing this cultural influence can foster greater global awareness and cooperation, ultimately enriching our shared human experience.

The United Kingdom has been a pioneer in the development of telecommunications networks, including the first mobile phone networks. This advancement has allowed communication to become instantaneous and accessible to a vast number of people, facilitating not only personal communication, but also international trade and relations. Mobile connectivity has allowed businesses around the world to operate more efficiently, enabling the creation of global markets and the expansion of companies beyond their local borders. This communication environment has fostered international collaboration, the spread of ideas and the creation of online communities that transcend geographical limitations.
Development of global connectivity
Reason 2
Sports have a great power to bring people together. When people come together to watch a game or play a game, friendships are created and the community is strengthened. For example, at a football match, you can see people of different ages and backgrounds cheering together.
Building communities
Reason 2
This is very important, as sport has helped overcome cultural and social differences around the world by promoting it at their games. In addition, many communities organize local sporting events that encourage participation for children who like sports and want to play them. These connections make people feel closer and more supported, which is essential for a strong society.
Background
- Scientific Revolution: Isaac Newton. His work in physics and mathematics, especially on the law of universal gravitation and his “Principia Mathematica,” was a key milestone that cemented the United Kingdom as a leader in science. Newton not only advanced knowledge in physics, but also profoundly influenced the philosophy of science.
- James Watt and the Industrial Revolution: James Watt's invention of the steam engine in the 18th century spurred the Industrial Revolution, a period in which science and technology were massively applied to transform industry, transportation and the economy in the United Kingdom.
- Michael Faraday and James Clerk Maxwell: Faraday, known for his discoveries in electromagnetism, and Maxwell, with his work on the electromagnetic theory of light, were key figures in the development of modern physics.
The implementation of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in 2018 by the United Kingdom and the European Union has had a profound impact on the way personal data is handled around the world. This regulation has raised privacy standards and forced companies and institutions to be more transparent in handling user information. By establishing a robust legal framework for data protection, the GDPR has influenced privacy policies in other regions, promoting greater online security and protecting user rights. This has been crucial in a world where information is constantly shared and where the risks of data breaches are ever-increasing.
Setting privacy and security standards
Reason 3
The consequences of the British Industrial Revolution (1760-1840) were many, varied, and long-lasting. Working life in rural and urban settings was changed forever by the inventions of new machines, the spread of factories, and the decline of traditional occupations. Developments in transportation and communications meant life in the post-industrial world was more exciting and faster, with people more connected than ever before. Consumer goods became more affordable to more people, and there were more jobs for a booming population. The price to pay for progress was often a working life that was noisy, repetitive, and dangerous, while cities grew to become overcrowded, polluted, and crime-ridden.
Main Elements
Access to information: The invention of the World Wide Web allowed millions of people to access information and resources quickly and easily.Privacy standards: The GDPR set high standards for data protection, improving online security and privacy for users. Continued innovation: The UK's leadership in artificial intelligence and robotics drives technological advances that benefit diverse industries. Education and collaboration: The tech culture fosters collaboration between researchers and companies, promoting innovation and the development of new technologies globally.
Benefits
Standardized rules: The UK formalized rules for sports like football, rugby, and tennis, now used globally.Global competitions: Tournaments like the Premier League and Wimbledon influence sports worldwide.Cultural export: The British Empire spread sports like cricket and rugby across the globe.Sportsmanship: British culture promotes fair play and universal sports values.Sports infrastructure: British stadiums and complexes serve as models internationally.
Main Elements
This is one of the themes that i think not too many people actually gives the correct importance, the human rights were changed in this era. Before the revolution, all the goods were handcrafted by people with no regulation of the work hours and without considering the people need to rest and have a life outside the work.I'm not saying that in the revolution the worker people had all of their rights, I think that it's really important to highlight that we made so much progress in the worker's rights, considering that not a long ago in some countries people still were esclavized... Nowadays we can find an association that defends the rights of workers for most of the countries.
Human Rights
Reason 3
Everybody depends on someone else, when we were kids, we depend on our parents to feed us and take care of us, and after spending time with our family and friends that we make in the way to become an adult we get influenced to change, following that string of thought we can see that other cultures will impact in the way we see the world or how we do things. In this document we will analyze how the English culture has influenced the world, the benefits and disadvantages of it, and finally we will put a link to a presentation where you could look a shorter version of what we are talking about.
Introduction
I was in charge of how the English culture change the music and the benefits of it; after reading the story and evolution of the many different genres I understand a little bit better how the people living on those times felt, also I can understand the meaning behind the lyrics of some of the bands that I listen created in those decades. The globalization was something that help the process of development of the society, actually, many artists that the people of USA listened back then was from the UK, bands like the Beatles, Queen, Radiohead, Oasis or Iron Maiden inspired the fire of the youth and created the idea of being a “rockstar”. Nowadays the children want to be streamers or football player, but back then the dream was to create a band with your friends and travel around the world playing songs to masses of people. Finally, I understand that no matter how much time passes we always will have the same dream of being famous, help the others and over all be successful in what we do.

- Science Education and Literacy: The UK has a strong focus on science education from elementary school through to university. Programs such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are promoted to foster interest and competence in these areas.
- Research and Innovation: The UK is known for its robust research infrastructure, with renowned institutions such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. These institutions not only conduct cutting-edge research, but also collaborate with industry to apply this knowledge in the real world.
- Science Outreach: There is a strong emphasis on science outreach to the general public. Museums such as the Science Museum in London and events such as the Edinburgh Science Festival play a crucial role in making science accessible and exciting for all.
Main Elements
The music is somthing that is extremally linked to our lives, we hear it in ads, videogames, movies and even when we are doing work or goiing to any place, thats because a song can change the way our day is going, it help us to express the feelings stored in the heart.
Why is so important?
The UK government is complex, so only its history is old, when they were only a monarchy and formed the parliament. Because of all those years of change in their form of government, a lot of countries took them as inspiration to form their own type of government, one of them is Canada, which was a British colony before, they decided to being part of the commonwealth and adopted the parliament and the British monarchy as their own too.
Being an example
Reason 1
Other reason that I think that the Industrial Revolution has become so important not only in UK, but also around the world is that a lot of jobs were born throught the revolution. If we think about all the topic deeply, even engineering might have been not a huge thing if it wasn't for the revolution. All the metodics in the revolution era made the first step for all the methological processures we have today in the actual industry.
Many new jobs were created
Reason 2
Monarchy: constitutional monarchy, the monarch is only ceremonial. Parliament: This is the legislative branch of the government. House of commons: Made up of 650 elected regional members of parliament. House of lords: there are around 800 members from across the parties, as well as non-affiliated members. Prime minister: the head of the government. Judiciary: independent courts that ensure laws passed are followed.
Main Elements
The invention of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 marked a turning point in the way we share and access information. Before the Web, access to data and resources was limited and often complicated. With the Web, access to a vast amount of information was democratized in a matter of seconds, allowing people from different backgrounds, cultures and regions of the world to learn, communicate and collaborate effectively. This not only transformed education and entertainment, but also empowered individuals and communities by providing them with tools for social activation and activism, which has led to significant changes in various societies.
Revolution in access to information
Reason 1
The world is something that changes constantly, so is the people in it too. As we know the monarchy in the UK is something that is merely an ornament to the real government, the monarchy is there because of the history they have in their country, but before they were the only ones with the power to change the laws. Now there is a parliament that makes the decisions, of course there are a lot of people who accept or reject the new laws.
Democracy
Reason 2
The United Kingdom has played a crucial role in global technology. Alan Turing laid the foundations of modern computing, and Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web, revolutionizing how we use the internet. They also spearheaded the development of mobile networks and created the GDPR, a law that enhanced data privacy. Today, the UK continues to lead in artificial intelligence and robotics, influencing technology worldwide.
Description
There are a lot of benefits of this style of government. As we can know before the parliament, there was only a monarchy, so the UK was solely ruled by the royal family, their say was the law, so when the parliament was created, democracy started to merge into the laws they were making for the people. Making it possible for human rights to really have a meaning in their society.
Benefits
In the British Isles and most of Europe at this time, most social activity took place in small and medium-sized villages. People rarely traveled far beyond their home village. During the 18th century, the population of Britain and other European countries began rising significantly. Among the first signs of economic transformation was an increase in agricultural productivity, making it possible to feed this rising population. The combination of these factors led to profound changes in how rural people lived. Gradually, large-scale mechanized agriculture to serve the market began to overtake the kinds of subsistence farming most peasants had practiced for generations.
Background
The language made it easier to express the thoughts about revolution and walking into the future. Their pride and creativity make new ways to use the instruments created by that era.
Main Elements
Description
Since its founding, the United Kingdom has been at the forefront of scientific and technological advances, as well as research and development. The Royal Society is the oldest scientific society in the United Kingdom, and one of the oldest in the world.
During its more than 300 years of history, it has been responsible for promoting, protecting and disseminating knowledge and science in the country and worldwide. Within this society participated several scientists who contributed to the advancement of their respective areas of knowledge; among these are: Robert Boyle, John Wallis, Isaac Newton, Robert Hooke, Thomas Willis, among others.
The scientific culture has managed to be one of the pioneers in the discoveries and scientific advances based on health for the world, as in the creation of penicillin or something more current would be with the vaccine of covid 19.
Medical advances
Reason 1
As a reflexion about this activity, we can definitely conclude that the UK has so important elements in very different subjetcs, UK has the culture in sports, in science, in history, government and a lot of important things to care about that has contributed to the world. My main subject was the industrial revolution, and, although leave my opinion about the reasons why I think that was such an important era. In this conclusion I can say that UK is such a important country in the story of the world, with this activity we learn about the importance that we can highlight about the revolution because that was a huge event that made the world that we known today. In my personal oppinion, I'm not a huge fan about the history, my favorite subject was always math and spanish, but with these kind of activity and investigation it gets very interesting and I think that if the method of teaching was more interesting and interactive, all would love history. It was definitely a great activity and i like to learn more and more thing about the UK, it gets very interesting and creates the need to visit. I hope some day I can visit the UK and guarantee all the history that we are learning.
Chelsea Alondra Benavides Rubio - 1896600
The UK formed the parliament in 1707 following the Acts of the Union, bringing together Great Britain, England, Scotland, and Wales. Since its creation, the UK has functioned as a democracy. Only two parties were created until 1923, these where the conservatives and liberals. This has been since 1923.
Background
Sports like football and rugby keep many people active. Exercising helps improve physical health and prevent diseases like obesity. Also, when we exercise, our body releases substances that make us feel good and happy about ourselves. This is very important today, because many people suffer from stress and anxiety.
Promoting health and well-being
Reason 1
By encouraging people to exercise, sports culture helps everyone feel healthier and happier. That is why the UK culture promoted sports to the whole world, so more people became interested in sports. Football is one of them, which is one of the most famous and practiced sports compared to other sports, so it is one of the ones that has benefited health the most.
Playing sports teaches us valuable lessons that are useful in our daily lives. Skills such as teamwork, discipline and perseverance are essential in everyday life as they are put into practice every day. When a group of players works together to achieve a common goal, they learn to collaborate and communicate with each other in order to achieve their goals.
Developing life skills
Reason 3
These skills are incredibly important not only in sports, but also in work and studies. By fostering these qualities, sports culture helps to form more responsible and committed individuals, which benefits society as a whole.
Health Promotion: Encourages physical activity and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle across various populations. Sportsmanship Values: Establishes principles of fair play and respect, which are fundamental in global competitions. Social Cohesion: Sports create a sense of community, bringing together people from different backgrounds. Skill Development: Fosters skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Economic Opportunities: Generates employment and promotes tourism through sporting events.
Benefits
Thinking about these things, we can know how perfect the government is. There is a lot of change in the UK government, we can see it just a few years ago, for example 2014, 10 years before and there is a huge change in the government, maybe not in a big way things but as an understanding of the ways of living on those times, and now how we live in this period of time, it is amazing how is structured the UK government, but the real important thing here is that even when the UK was a monarchy were the power surrounded a whole family, is now a democracy. With this we can be grateful because now the UK government hears what the people are saying to them, there is a bigger possibility to them to be protected or helped by the laws they enforce. And the rights are now perfectly balanced or even if they are not, they are working on them to change it, or even they already changed them, and of course there are still bad things in the government, but they try to change them.
Fabián Alberto Flores Elizond - 2077452
Pretty much util the XX century the musicians were only the ones that made music for operas and ceremonys but with the influence of the english culture they were seen by the youth as someone that could make the people around them follow their thoughts by singing and also help express the feellings with their lyrics.
They changed the way that musicians were viewed
Reason 1
Although there are very difference in opinions about this topic, something that we can't deny is that the industrial revolution contributed a lot of what we know as the world today. Is a interesting topic cause we know some people can argue about all the damage the world has made through, but many of the technological advances that we had today would not have achieved if it wasn't a revolution.
Industrial Revolution made us grow
Reason 1
- Goods Became More Affordable and More Accessible
- The Rapid Evolution of Labor-Saving Inventions
- The Rapid Evolution of Medicine
- Enhanced Wealth and Quality of Life of the Average Person
- The Rise of Specialist Professions

Reason 2
The UK has a constitutional monarchy, meaning that a monarch acts as head of state. Queen Elizabeth II was one of the most famous royalties and her family is one of the most famous families, but now the head of state is king Charles III. The UK is also a parliamentary democracy, where the head of which is the prime minister is Sir Keir Starmer.
Description
Industrial Revolution, in modern history, the process of change from an agrarian and handicraft economy to one dominated by industry and machine manufacturing. The main features involved in the Industrial Revolution were technological, socioeconomic, and cultural. The technological changes included the use of new basic materials, chiefly iron and steel, the use of new energy sources, including both fuels and motive power, such as coal, the steam engine, electricity, petroleum, and the internal-combustion engine, the invention of new machines, etcetera.
Description
The UK’s sports culture has deep historical roots that solidified in the 19th century, with the formalization of sports like football and cricket. The establishment of governing bodies, such as the Football Association in 1863, standardized rules and promoted organized competition. The British Empire played a key role in spreading these sports globally, integrating them into the cultural identities of many nations. In the 20th century, mass media transformed sports into major entertainment, with events like Wimbledon and the FA Cup gaining international recognition. Today, British influence is still evident in the practices and traditions of sports in many countries.
Background
sometimes the lenguage barrier is hard to break but we began to break ir thanks to the way they sang it´s music, and with some time we ended up making this genres in different languages, we can see it in Mexico too, bands like Molotov, Caifanes, Café tauba. Everyone tried to spread ideas to the people with their voices.
Spread of the music
Reason 3
In conclusion, the UK's sporting culture has had a huge impact on the world, as it has promoted health and wellbeing through popular sports such as football and rugby. These sports not only motivate people to stay active, but they also create a sense of community, where people come together to cheer on their teams. Watching a game together or playing on a team helps form bonds and friendships that transcend differences. Furthermore, participating in sports teaches valuable lessons about working as a team, being disciplined and never giving up – skills that are useful in everyday life. The culture of sport also fosters values such as respect and fair play, which are important in any field. This connection between sport and everyday life shows that, beyond competition, sport can be a powerful tool for personal and social development. In the end, what really matters is how sport helps us to unite, learn and grow together as a community.

Part of the benefits that arose from the United Kingdom in the scientific culture was that they had the beginnings of machinery starting with steam engines being at the time the first industrialized nation in the world. As it was also in the creation of the chronometers for the determination of latitude giving possible the creation of the Royal Society. Another benefit is that this was the basis of many of the technological advances of the time not only in the region but throughout the world, these achievements and advances gave way to the creation of things that we consider important today. Finally, another benefit is that it also influences society in the way of seeing, understanding, and studying the world and the events that happen.
Benefits
It has also taken a leading role in the development and innovation of renewable and sustainable energy technologies in areas essential to meeting global environmental challenges.
Sustainable energy
Reason 3
The United Kingdom has been an epicentre of technological innovation since the 20th century. During World War II, Alan Turing developed the Turing machine, laying the foundations for modern computing and contributing to the decoding of enemy messages. Not only was this crucial in the conflict, but it also established fundamental principles that would guide the development of computers.Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989, transforming communication and access to information. The UK also pioneered mobile phone networks and established the GDPR in 2018 for data privacy. It also continues to lead in artificial intelligence and robotics, showing a lasting impact on global technology.
Background
The sporting culture of the United Kingdom has greatly influenced the world, being the birthplace of sports such as football, rugby, cricket, tennis and golf. These sports not only became popular globally, but also shaped the way in which they are played, with standardised rules and international competitions.Football, for example, is today the most widely played sport in the world, while rugby and cricket have been key to the identity of several countries, especially in former British colonies. The British influence on sport is a cultural legacy that continues to impact life and entertainment globally.
