Treatment & lifestyle changes may help improve symptoms but there is no cure for these chronic lung diseases.
Common Symptoms
- Cough with lots of mucus and pus.
- Repeated colds.
- Bad-smelling mucus.
- Shortness of breath (dyspnea).
- Wheezing.
- Coughing up blood (hemoptysis).
- Swollen fingertips with curved nails (nail clubbing).
Common Symptoms: tiredness, fatique, chest tightness, shortness of Breath and/or frequent lung infections
- Chronic bronchitis causes inflammation in the lungs' airways and results in a frequent cough with mucus.
- Emphysema damages the walls of air sacs (alveoli) deep in the lungs, leading to shortness of breath

- Swelling in ankles, feet or legs.
