The JFK assassination
61 years ago the President John F. Kennedy was shot death while he was riding on an opened-top car with the First Lady at his side in Dallas
This was the fourth presidential assassination in a nation that was less than 200 years old.And the first since the Secret Service began protecting presidents.
On November 22, 1963 JFK was driving through the streets of Dallas as he began his presidential campaign for the seond term.
Report of Facts
The official conclusions on the shooting were presented by a commision headed by Earl Warren
The verdict was that Lee Harvey Oswald was the perpetrator of such a crime.
This crime left a profound impact and was the first of four major assassinations during the 1960's.
The perpetrator fired three shots at President John F. Kennedy; -The second and third shots he fired struck the President;-The third shot he fired killed the President.
