AISER Computational Tools

AISER Computational tools

  • Artificial intelligence, Computational Stimulation and Exrended Reality (AISER) Computational Tools is a newer medical innovation still in trial stages. Using advanced technology (3D imaging, AI,etc) to analyze and interpret complex data quickly, helping doctors and researchers make better decisions by providing clear, detailed insights from large amounts of information, while also make it possible to predict risks.
  • AI can gather and organize patient information. Then, simulation (S) analyzes this data to make predictions. As for extended reality (ER), it helps us visualize and understand the complexity of diseases, treatments, and their outcomes.
  • The center aims to enhance early decision-making and speed up cardiovascular treatments to better patient outcomes.
  • With AISER, researchers can quickly test over 1,000 options to find the best ways to use large data sets for personalized medicine. For example, they can create extended reality (ER) models of new heart stents and use patient data to figure out which design works best.
  • For instance, 3D imaging, AI, and advanced computational tools can produce a detailed virtual model of a patient's heart arteries, helping cardiologists see problem areas and test how various stents might improve blood flow.
  • “We can simulate different scenarios in advance for the surgeon, helping to better plan the procedure, reduce the time in the operating room, and hopefully improve the clinical outcomes for the patients,” said Dr. Wu.
