Mind Your Preferences
Under the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner of Genially is a 'preferences' tab. Customize them!
- Turn OFF 'share genially.'
- You may also want to turn off the 'draggable elements indicator,' 'zoom,' or any of the other features. The less turned on, the less clutter on your genially, but be mindful of accessibility.
- Don't turn off the 'full screen' option
- If you have small images that may be hard for some to see, keep 'zoom' turned on

Navigation
Do NOT rely on the arrows for your learners to see how to go to the next page. Use a button to make that clear.
- On the first page, use a 'start' button.
- To go to another page, use a 'next' button.
- Be certain your navigation is crystal clear to the learner.

Consistency
It is fine to be creative, but be sure that you are consistent in the design of your geniallys throughout a course. They should be cohesive and feel like they are a set.
- Use ASAM colors or colors that adhere to whatever brand/course you are working with.
- Monochrome tends to look sleek and modern, but colorful imagery is fine - pick one and be consistent.
- Branding colors are already embedded in Genially for ease of use.
- Use Lato font.
- Use the same size font throughout for headings and body.

Audio Buttons
Drag and drop .MP3 files into Genially.
- When utilizing a white background, make certain that you put a rounded rectangle or some other contrasting element behind the audio file so that the audio file does not blend into the background.
- Rename the audio file 'click to play.'
