  • Tracking Number — if needing to get a rate for a previously shipped package
  • Dropoff/pickup — Indicates package drop-off or pickup.
  • Ship Date — This field is required and impacts results in Rates and Transit Times; to change the date, click in the field to open the calendar.
  • Payor and Payor Account number — Payor defaults to Shipper and an account number auto-populates when rating with a contact associated with an account. Payor can be updated to Recipient or Third Party; doing this requires an account number to be entered and validated prior to proceeding with the rate.
  • Payment Type — This field is disabled when running a rate without first entering a tracking number; when a tracking number is entered, the field will display the payment type used at the time of shipment.
  • Interline — This drop-down contains a list of Interline partners with a reduced rate agreement with FedEx; the list is alphabetical, so enter the first letter of the airline to quickly navigate through the list.

When a caller is requesting an account-based rate, but they are not a listed contact on the account identified by the IVR, it is required to create an individual shipper contact for the caller. When this occurs, you may still provide the account-based rate only if the caller can verify the account number, company name, and primary address. This is completed by entering the provided account number in the Payor Account field and clicking Validate.

Rates and Transit time results are driven by the customer and shipment information entered. Results default to the Account Specific Rates tab, even when providing a rate for a customer without an account number. The results list displays with the earliest commitment option displayed at the top of the list. Note that, in this example, the FedEx Ground® service option provides the same commit date as the 2Day® options, with only the commit times differing. To view the details of a rate, click the rate line.
