Today, we will create a KWL chart to help us reflect on our gravity lesson.

Vocabulary

Force- A push or a pull Gravity - the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its center. The force of gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun.

Weight in Space

  1. Discuss with your table group why there is a greater force of gravity on larger objects in space and less gravity on smaller objects in space.
  2. Next, your teacher will have each person stand on a scale to determine how much you weigh on Earth. (This info is for you only and will not be shown to anyone else.)
  3. Finally, complete the weight in space worksheet.
