Not long after film was introduced to the U.S. We used it for educaiton. “Motion picture projectors were one of the first media device used in schools” (Rieser, 2001)
Training films were used as a way to educate the Military while training in WW2. "400 training films and 600 filmstripes" were used and they were shown "more than four million times." (Reiser, 2001)
In 1969, An educational approach to childerns progams had aired, with a goal of building a strong educational foundation for preschool children. The first show to also depict a diverse, inclusive neighborhood.
YouTube was born in 2005 and exploded onto the seen with use of all ages. With many people making there own videos, this led educators to use Youtube as a resource for classroom. Creating massive challenges for educaiton alone.
