AMECAMECA'S ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM

The Teporingo, also known as the rabbit of the volcanoes. This small mammal is native to the volcano region of Mexico, especially in areas such as Amecameca. Its population has been declining due to several factors. One of the main problems is habitat loss, as urbanization and agricultural expansion have reduced their natural environment. In addition, hunting and competition with other species also affect their survival. Climate change and human activities can alter its ecosystem, making it more difficult for the teporingo to find food and shelter. The conservation of the teporingo is crucial not only to maintain biodiversity, but also to preserve the ecological balance in its habitat. Efforts are underway to protect this species and its environment, but much remains to be done. It is an important issue that deserves attention and action.

HABITAT COSERVATION

Fewer emissions and a lower environmental impact can contribute to the preservation of the ecosystems where the teporingo lives. A healthy environment is vital to their survival.

natural resources

The use of fluorescent bulbs could contribute to teporingo conservation by reducing pressure on natural resources and decreasing air and water pollution, which can help protect its habitat and reduce the risk of extinction.

EMISSIONS REDUCTION

By using less energy, fewer emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants are generated. This can help mitigate climate change, which is a threat to many ecosystems and species, including teporingo habitat.

Energy Saving

CFLs bulbs use less electricity than incandescent bulbs, which reduces energy demand. This can lead to a decrease in electricity production from polluting sources, such as coal plants.

Reduce the use of plastics

Opting for reusable bags, bottles, and containers instead of disposable plastics helps decrease pollution in the teporingo's habitat. Less plastic waste means less risk to local wildlife.

Promover el uso de transporte sostenible

Walking, biking, or using public transportation reduces your carbon footprint and air pollution. This helps maintain a healthier environment for all species, including the teporingo.

Participate in reforestation programs

Joining local initiatives to plant native trees contributes to restoring the natural habitat of the teporingo. Trees are essential for maintaining the ecosystem and providing shelter and food.

Support environmental education and awarenessí

Participating in workshops, talks or campaigns on the conservation of the teporingo and its habitat can help to raise awareness among more people about its importance. The more people know about this species, the more support there will be to protect it.
