- prompt responses to chats, calls, and emails
- one on one or small group tutoring by request
- assessment correction options, grade improvement plans, and catch up plans on a case by case basis
- multiple resources for study and review, as well as guides to assessments and example notes pages
- puns, songs, references, and various fish facts at any given opportunity
The scientific name for the swordfish is Xiphias gladius, or "sword" in Greek and Latin. The fish's name is "sword sword"!
Is this the elective for you?
Spanish 2 will help you improve your target language skills beyond the basic vocabulary and grammar acquired in Spanish 1. Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in the world! The ability to communicate in another is immensely useful in the job market, during travel opportunities, and around your own community. However, this course assumes a baseline of ability and knowledge gained from Spanish 1. You will be expected to keep up with new material and take responsibility for your own learning. You will be assessed on these skills through quizzes, tests, voice recordings, and projects.

Put in honest effort to complete your assigned work with integrity and curiosity: follow the honor code! This means NO TRANSLATION SITES such as Google Translate or ChatGPT. The use of outside sources goes against the honor code and will earn you a zero on the portion of the assignment that is flagged. If repeated assignments show evidence of plagiarism / cheating, you will receive a zero on the entire assignment and I will contact home.
