The SOCO collective care approach

The Socio Haircare workshops develop hair care techniques that encourage self-presentation, self-discovery and the discovery of one's own sensations.

To this end, workshops can be :
Educational

Learn the essential notions of hair hygiene, inviting participants to learn new or acquired hair care techniques, with the aim of reinvesting in and reappropriating their bodies, through knowledge of shampoo techniques, products and equipment.

Relationship

Gathering participants around a table to focus on support, the helping relationship, self-esteem, stress management, comfort in a climate of trust, restoring dignity, self-respect, and maintaining social ties.

Therapeutic

By improving self-esteem, revaluing integrity and developing interpersonal skills, you'll help the person embrace their body, love and accept it, help them rebuild themselves, learn to take care of themselves, allow themselves the notion of pleasure, and thus take their place.

Intervention methodology

To run a workshop, you need to prepare before the big day. Before proposing your workshops, you need to design your workshop themes (see workshop sheet). Through workshops, you're going to pass on your knowledge, know-how or information to a given audience, and facilitate learning to breathe life into your event.

3 months before :

  • Decide on the content of your workshop
  • Determine the time required
  • Determine possible dates
  • Choose the venue
2 months before :
  • Communicate about the proposed workshop
  • Prepare flyers, posters to announce the workshop
  • Drop off your flyers with partners
  • Communicate on social networks and other communication channels you may have
2 weeks before :
  • Take stock of participants
  • Communicate on your usual communication channels
  • Prepare materials
  • Work on your facilitation techniques: welcome, flow, messages, keys, evaluation

The day before your workshop:

  • Check registrations, and prepare your name tags, i.e. the names of participants on a piece of paper in front of him so that he knows their first names.
  • Print your tip sheets and other materials
  • Check equipment
  • Prepare everything
The day of your workshop:
  • Arrive in advance to prepare the room, and if it's in your living room, prepare the environment.
  • Help welcome participants
  • Lead the workshop
  • Thank participants
  • Tidy up and clean the room

  • Pre-requisites: what skills and knowledge must your customer have to take part in your workshop?

To help you estimate the time needed for your workshop, give a detailed description of the process and its content, making sure that the sequences follow on naturally from one another. Now it's your turn to write your workshop sheets!
