Technical focus

Technical hairdressing remains the basic task of the socio-coiffeur, who will respect hygiene rules and protocols, both for his equipment and for the vulnerable person.

  • Hair treatments: shampoo and mask.
  • Hair care: cut.
  • Hair enhancement: coloring, long-lasting styling.
  • Hair problem solutions: treatment of dermatitis, hair supplements, etc.
  • Accompaniment: to ensure follow-up inside and outside the structure.

Educational focus

Aging, pathologies, treatments and metabolic imbalances all have a considerable impact on hair. The Socio-Hairdresser will be able to give advice adapted to these changes, and to provide competent advice to the person in need.

  • Through individual care, he or she will learn the principles of hygiene and styling techniques that can make the person autonomous and active with regard to his or her hair care.
  • Through his or her professionalism, the socio-hairdresser will be able to propose solutions in harmony with the person's new situation or status.
  • In this way, the socio-coiffeur will restore a positive image by highlighting the strengths and creative abilities of the person under his or her care.
The socio-hairdresser will play an educational role by providing solutions and sharing them with his or her client, so as to leave him or her as autonomous as possible.

Relational focus

Hairdressing time is a moment of escape when the socio-coiffeur establishes a special bond with the client, based on trust and confidentiality. Thanks to a warm and caring relationship, he or she reinforces the customer's dignity and self-esteem, in a reassuring environment, without judgment or prejudice.

  • Exchange, accompanying the person through change.
  • Self-esteem, welcoming the body, loving it, respecting it with all its changes.
  • Reassurance, a climate of trust, allowing yourself to take care of yourself, allowing the notion of pleasure.
  • Listening, empathy, stress management, silence management.
  • Restoring dignity, respecting others in their individuality, valuing individuality, unconditional consideration.
  • Self-respect as a socio-coiffeur (listening to one's own emotions, feelings and acceptance of one's emotions).
