This is a training program for MODP today will be going though loads off experience like traffic stops and load more.

Training program

During a pursuit you are requied to give the following information to the other units to help them either place spikes, catch up or other tactics. If the suspect makes a right you say right right onto [Road Name] if the suspect turns left you would say left left onto {Road Name} if the suspect makes a U-Turn,Rezip Rezip Rezip [Road name] If the suspectt goes on the correct side of the road you say On-side lanes of travel [road name] if the suspect goes on the wrong side of the road you say Off-side lanes of traval [Road Name] If the suspect Crashers you say, Decamp decamp.If the suspect pulls out a gun you say GUN , GUN!If the suspects shoots their gun you say, SHOTS FIRED SHOTS FIRED!

Police Caution - Arrest

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something that you later rely on in Court.

Necessity for arrest

After arresting someone and explainig their caution.You may state their necessities for Arrest. This may also be implied when Speaking to the Sergent (MET Officer at the holding cells).

  • Prevent obstructionof highway
  • Prevent Injury
  • Preserve Decency
  • Prevent Loss/damage to property

Stop and Search

Stop and search allows us as police officers to search suspect if we have reasonable suspicion there is an item that is prohibited on a person and that if we search this person,there is a high likelihood the item will be found As police officer we have the power to Stop and Search someone if the gounds exist this could be that they match the discription of an offender or they have been identified by a witness etc.you can not do a voluntary search under any stop and search power. You must have a legal power to back you up
