What do you like doing at a Birthday Party?
I like parties where I can meet new people, I 'm not particularly interested in food, but I like parties with good music, especially if there 's some room for dancing. I also like simple games to play together, but only with a limited number of people. My favourite game is Guess the song.

"Hannah felt that she could put up with anything so long as Ralph Wellings turned up"
This quote makes us understand that Hannah has got a crash on Ralph. It is a colloquial sentence that conveys the feeling of a person who has fallen in love. Can you try to express the same feeling in another impressive way?

Conclusions
In this short story:
- the omniscient narrator shares Hannah's poin of view
- the narrator uses some ironical remarks
- the narrative mode is mainly based on description and dialogue: the narration is essential
Conclusions
DID YOU LIKE THIS STORY? I find this story very intriguing because the Author creates a great expectation about an event, but then he moves forward to a situation many years later, without describing what happened at the party. In a few lines, he focuses on the importance of love in the life of a woman.
