Focus on facilities and eficiency during the application of a test. Some aspects to consider to increase the practicality:- respect the time of application established- not exceed resources- take into consideration students' abilities to avoid overburden.Last one is not only valid to students, the test analysis requires an easy interpretation and rate, in this way, teacher need to create a test easy for apply and score.
Practicality
Authenticity
Authenticity consists on evaluates how task are related to the real world. It goes further than a typical test, focusing onstudents' abilities and knowledge into real context.Characteristics:- Contextualized tasks. - Employ differnet ways of evaluation. - Focus on the process and the result. - Encourage collaboration, team work and reflection.
Reliability
It refers to the consitency and estability of the results from the same test. Same test + same students + different date of application = similar scores. Characteristics of reliability:- Items clear, brief and relevant information.- Use of rubric or establish a criteria to evaluate.- Students need similar conditions to be fair.We can direct reliability to the rather, atudent-related and test administration, and each on of them possess weakness and strenghts that rest or add a grade of reliability.
Validity
Basically, it measures what it proposes to measure putting aside irrelevant information. Characteristics of validity:- Students are familiarizes with the formats presented in the test.- task are relate to what has been seen during the course. - Difficulty is reasonablewith students perfomarce.
