Objectives

  • Name the components of and operate a light microscope
  • Compare the scale and size of objects under the microscope
Required PPE
  • Closed-toe shoes

Today we will complete Part 1 and 2 and then get started on Part 3.

Tips for Using your Microscope

  • Clean the eyepiece using the lens cleaner and q-tip
  • Focus on the sample using the 4x objective lens first
  • Be careful moving up the stage since you don't want to hit (and break) the objective lens!
