Always get a receipt whenever you withdraw cash, in case anything goes wrong.
The keypad has buttons for numbers between 'O' and '9', a 'Cancel' button, and a button to confirm choices such as 'Enter', 'OK' or 'Confirm'.
Take the cash from the cash dispenser slot.
Safety: Quickly count the cash and put it away. If anyone suspicious is nearby, you don't want them knowing how much cash you have.
Wait while the ATM sends details of the account and PIN with the bank to be checked
If the PIN is correct, after a few seconds the ATM continues to the next step. If you get your PIN wrong, you can try again twice.

Put your card into the card reader the right way up. The machine 'swallows' the card.
Safety: Thieves sometimes attach an extra card reader to an ATM to copy your card. If the machine looks suspicious, do not put your card in. Find another ATM.
ATMs have cameras that record the people using the machine. The security camera is in a secret position.

Safety: Cover your PIN with your hand. If someone tries to read your PIN over your shoulder, press 'Cancel' and use another ATM. Never say your PIN out loud.
